Mission

The purposes for which this fellowship was informed and is continuing as follows:
• To develop a depth of spiritual knowledge and commitment within the fellowship and proclaim correctly to those outside the fellowship which is the love of God offered towards them and in particular the need, truth and assurance of salvation.
• Experiencing God in worship. Creating a community to worship.
• Learning and living the infallible and trustworthy Word of God. Learning and living the teaching of Jesus.
• Serving God and others. Identifying and using our spiritual gifts to serve.
• Loving our world. Providing opportunities for service, outreach, and evangelism.
• To maintain a center of Christian life and influence in the community and support the fellowship of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ throughout the world.
• To do things and to have and exercise rights, privileges and powers conferred by law upon a religious or church as may from time to time appear good to the Church Meeting and associating under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The Strategy of the Institution

  • To go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to obey everything Jesus Christ had commanded us (cf. Matt. 28: 19 - 20).
  • To bring the lost to our Lord Jesus Christ and planting of local congregations in any part of the country or world. This is done by the disciples who evangelize and reproduce themselves through other believers. The Bible informs us that the church in Thessalonica in Greece was started in this fashion (cf. Acts 17: 1-9; 1 Thess. 1: 1-10).
  • Disciples to give practical Christian teaching and training of leaders. Thus producing leaders who serve their own local churches as well as in their own communities. In the Island of Crete the Church reached maturity in this way               (cf. Titus 1- 3).
  • The mother body to assist the established local branches to govern and support themselves and to evangelize in a way that would be sensible and sensitive to local cultures and in return to plant other churches. The Church developed and multiplied in this way at Ephesus in Turkey      (cf. Acts 19-20).
  • To establish Church branches in return sent and support Disciples who serve other cultures, diverse communities and the different parts of the country and the world. In obedience to the Holy Spirit the Church did the same at Antioch in Syria when it sent Paul and Barnabas                      (cf. Acts 13: 1- 4).
  • To be seed-throwers, fire-starters i.e. Holy Spirit, hope peddlers, grace-givers, risk takers and dreamers young and old. This is therefore our core business of winning souls for the Lord.
  • To empower the poor, strengthen the weak, embrace the outcast, and seek the lost.

"To empower the poor, strengthen the weak, embrace the outcast, and seek the lost."
